Polyvagal Theory in Therapy Training
Therapists interact with survivors of trauma every day and the effects of secondary trauma can have long lasting impacts.
This Polyvagal Theory in Therapy training will support therapists in applying a trauma-informed, polyvagal approach to navigate both personal and professional life challenges to effectively manage burnout. Participants will leave with simple effective tools to help clients and themselves build resilience and emotional regulation skills. The presenter will utilize lecture and experiential exercises to create an engaging and dynamic learning experience for participants. This Polyvagal Theory in Therapy Training has been approved by NBCC for NBCC credit. Becca Odom Wellness is solely responsible for all aspects of the program. NBCC Approval No. SP-4532. Course Facilitator:Becca Odom LCSW, E-RYT 200I have a passion for helping others heal from trauma and manage stress more effectively. I love helping therapists find tools to become more trauma informed in their work with clients and to prevent burnout from secondary trauma.
I have committed the decade of my career in the field of social work to combining the wisdom of ancient yoga practices with modern neuroscience to help myself and others build resilience and recover from the effects of trauma. These tools are missing from a lot of mental health programs and I truly believe that if we can get these trauma informed tools into the hands of more therapists, the world would be a better place. |
