Therapists interact with survivors of trauma every day and the effects of secondary trauma can have long lasting impacts.

This Polyvagal Theory in Therapy is an asynchronous self-paced training that will support therapists in applying a trauma-informed, polyvagal approach to navigate both personal and professional life challenges to effectively manage burnout. 


Participants will leave with simple effective tools to help clients and themselves build resilience and emotional regulation skills. 

The presenter will utilize lecture and experiential exercises to create an engaging and dynamic learning experience for participants. 


CE Information: Becca Odom Wellness, Provider #1955, is approved as an ACE provider to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Regulatory boards are the final authority on courses accepted for continuing education credit. ACE provider approval period: 4/16/2025-4/16/2028. Social workers completing this course receive 2 Ethics continuing education credits.

Becca Odom is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Registered Yoga Teacher with over a decade of experience in the mental health and wellness field. Becca specializes in combining Somatic Approaches with EMDR for trauma recovery.

​She primarily works with women who have experienced trauma, chronic stress and anxiety. Her passion is to empower others to heal themselves and she specializes in anxiety, trauma recovery and stress management. 

She is trained in EMDR, Community Resiliency Model (CRM), Mindful Schools, Trauma-Focused Equine Assisted Psychotherapy and has her 200-hour yoga teacher training certification.

This self-paced training is available now! You will have access to the recording for 1 year to return to so you can deepen the tools both personally and professionally. ​
Who is the course for?
This course is made for social workers, counselors and any other mental health professionals who are wanting to bring more polyvagal and trauma-informed practices into their professional and personal life to prevent burnout and enhance trauma recovery.
How long do I have access to the course?
You will have up to 1 year to complete the self-paced course and receive your Certificate of Completion. ​​
WHAT ARE THE COURSE COMPLETION REQUIREMENTS
To earn CE credits for the self-paced course, participants must complete the entire course, complete the posttest, and complete the course evaluation. Participants must achieve a score of 80% or above, and will have up to 3 times to achieve this required score to receive the CE certificate. Certificates are automatically available immediately on the training platform once the above requirements are met.

To earn CE credits for the live virtual course, participants must attend the entire training and complete a course evaluation. Certificates are emailed to participants within 7 business days after the course is completed, and the course evaluation is submitted.
