This Polyvagal Theory in Therapy is offered an asynchronous self-paced training.

This training will support therapists in applying a trauma-informedpolyvagal approach to navigate both personal and professional life challenges to effectively manage burnout

Participants will leave with simple effective tools to help clients and themselves build resilience and emotional regulation skills. 

The presenter will utilize lecture and experiential exercises to create an engaging and dynamic learning experience for participants. 

CE Information: Becca Odom Wellness, Provider #1955, is approved as an ACE provider to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Regulatory boards are the final authority on courses accepted for continuing education credit. ACE provider approval period: 4/16/2025-4/16/2028. Course Facilitator

Becca Odom is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Registered Yoga Teacher with over a decade of experience in the mental health and wellness field. Becca specializes in combining Somatic Approaches with EMDR for trauma recovery.

She primarily works with women who have experienced trauma, chronic stress and anxiety. Her passion is to empower others to heal themselves and she specializes in anxiety, trauma recovery and stress management. 

She is trained in EMDR, Community Resiliency Model (CRM), Mindful Schools, Trauma-Focused Equine Assisted Psychotherapy and has her 200-hour yoga teacher training certification. 

 Training Objectives:

  • Gain a familiarity with the principles of polyvagal theory as it applies in a clinical therapeutic setting.
  • Strengthen knowledge of trauma and its impact on the brain, systems in the body and the vagus nerve.
  • Describe how trauma-informed somatic approaches can help build resilience and prevent burnout when used in both personal and professional settings.
  • Define trauma and understand its impact on the brain and systems in the body
